Tea Party Angels Launch Party

Hi Moms,
A friend of ours, Cheryl Beck is launching her new charity Tea Party Angels this weekend with a great kickoff party in NYC, featuring Christie Brinkley and her daughter Sailor. Tea Party Angels is a new fund-raising concept to encourage girls to raise money to help other girls around the globe. The concept is simple – a girl (perhaps your daughter) decides to host a tea party – either at home or a participating tea shop. Instead of presents, the girl asks for donations to a cause to help ease poverty, hunger or help a girl in a developing nation go to school. Parents help by coming up with a chore a task their daughter can do to make the donation money. The collected money can be sent back to Tea Party Angels which will distribute it a network of organizations that support girl empowerment.
Then at the party, the girls and moms get together, watch a video, donate money, have a good time and help another girl. Tea Party Angels provides complete tea party kits and the parties can be hosted at home or a tea shop. We think it’s a great new idea for birthday parties or just because…
The kit comes with activities (like t-shirt making and quizzes) as well as the educational video plus step by step instructions on hosting the party.
And like we said this weekend, their kick off party is happening in NYC this Saturday, November 7th at Doubles 783 Fifth Avenue, New York. Christie Brinkley and her daughter Sailor have signed up as hosts. Ticket prices are $150 for moms and $75 for daughter…and you can get a $20 discount on your ticket just by RSVPing directly to info@teapartyangels.org or by calling (212) 876-7092. You can find out more about the group at www.teapartyangels.org
