More about Andrea
Andrea is originally from New York City and Long Island, NY and grew up sailing, reading, writing and swimming. She attended Barnard College in NYC, worked in publishing in NYC and then moved to Albany, NY attend graduate school and marry her high school sweetheart. After two cold winters in upstate NY, Andrea and her husband moved to slightly warmer NJ where she worked in consulting before starting GirlMogul.com.
GirlMogul.com started as a girl power apparel company for girls of all ages – with slogans like future rocket scientist, Andrea was ready to take on the world – then she started a blog for tween girls, featuring the GirlMogul characters (originally from her t-shirts) and it the blog – and the characters took on a life of their own. The GirlMoguls – Rose, Lily, Poppy and Daisy are four pretty cool tweens who get to follow their dreams, have adventures – and help others.

Andrea started www.girlmogulmom.com as a companion to girlmogul.com to provide fun, informative and valuable information to parents trying to raise tween girls. While there are plenty of blog and resources for new parents, it seems as moms and dads hit the tween years, information just dries up – but no more.
Andrea still lives in north western NJ with her husband and two kids – one boy and one girl, and continues to write, speak and read (and sometimes garden).
